Jeanne Lowenthal has worked as a nurse supervisor in home care for the past ten years with Beacon InHome. Her education was originally within a hospital based RN program, later completing a BSN at the University of Massachusetts – Boston. Further education included graduate courses in education, and nursing administration at Boston University. Her previous work experience was in acute care settings, including an adult medical intensive care unit. This evolved into a nurse educator role, and, eventually the staff development coordinator role. Jeanne has also worked in a fast-paced outpatient, sedation, oral surgery clinic. Each job has brought its own professional growth, enjoyment and rewards.
Born in Belfast, Maine with many extended family in the area, Jeanne moved to Massachusetts at a young age. She has since returned to Maine regularly for re-connection to family and the rejuvenation of lake and ocean air that is unique to Maine. She enjoys spending time with her family in discussions, walks, cooking together, and watching movies; planning something special to do together every week
Joleene Barren, the Director of Customer Service at Beacon InHome, an Arosa Company, has spent the last twelve years in home care management with the past ten years as a partner in creating and managing Beacon InHome, an independent home care agency in the Greater Boston area. Her career has been focused on helping others as an educator, administrator, and Admissions Director. Since her first job, at 16 years old, as a short order cook at Red Arrow Resort on Grand Lake of the Cherokees to her present position, she has spent her career helping others get what they want.
Joleene was born in Texas, grew up in Oklahoma, received her degree in Office Administration and Psychology at Southwestern Adventist University in Texas, and then moved to Boston. She enjoys her family, friends, walking in the woods, cooking, baking, and entertaining.
Janice Weaver joined Beacon In Home in 2015 as Assistant Client Services Manager from a background in compliance on a state, federal, and international level. Her focus at BIH has been in payroll, benefits, reporting, hiring, and scheduling. However, she is happy to help our Caregivers with their related needs, such as loan, housing, recertification paperwork and sometimes, just reassurance.
Janice was born and raised in South Dakota but has lived many places and is glad to have landed in Massachusetts in 2001. She enjoys history and genealogy and has done extensive research into her family tree. Finding answer to obscure questions has been a feature of work and play for her
Gabriela “Gaby” Yidi
Gabriela “Gaby” Yidi joined Beacon InHome in May 2020 with an extensive luxury hospitality background. Her most recent position was at Boston University, her alma mater, as Adjunct Professor teaching freshmen and sophomores “Lodging Operations and Technology”.
Gaby has held Front Office/Guest Services leadership positions at various luxury hotels in Miami and New York City: Andaz Wall Street, The Mark Hotel, W South Beach, The Setai Hotel, and opening W Miami. Gaby also practiced hospitality in the travel/tourism space as a Business Development Manager at Excursionist, an ultra-luxe DMC focusing on travel in the US, Canada and the Caribbean.
She is a graduate of Boston University and University of Florida, earning her Bachelor of Science in Hospitality and subsequently her Master of Business Administration in International Business. She absolutely loves watching musical theater and has a passion for Disney World!
Allison “Allie” Black
Allison “Allie” Black joined the team in October 2020 as Life Care Manager for Beacon inHome with an in-depth knowledge of community resources, public benefits and caring for older adults and their families. Her most recent position was a case management supervisor for an elder service non-profit. Allie has worked in the case management field for several years, and her favorite part of her role is getting to know others and their personal history. Allie enjoys finding the strengths of the people she works with and their families.
Before relocating to MA in 2014, Allie lived in NH and earned her Bachelor’s in psychology from Colby-Sawyer College. She also holds a Master’s in Social Work from Boston College with a concentration in Older Adults and Families. She loves to stay active and spends a lot of her free time working out, spending time with friends and family, and finding interesting new recipes to try in the kitchen.
